Emerson Hyndman to miss 4-6 weeks with right quad injury

The injury woes continue for the Five Stripes as yet another player is set to miss time.

Atlanta United announced today that midfielder Emerson Hyndman will miss four to six weeks with a right quadriceps injury. This comes after Hyndman reportedly "felt something" in his leg prior to the Five Stripes' match against New York City FC. He was subsequently flown back to Atlanta early for exams.

Hyndman is the 16th Atlanta United player to miss time due to injury this season. He missed most of the 2021 season due to a torn ACL and was only recently beginning to be integrated into the team's starting eleven. Hyndman has had 67 appearances, six goals, and five assists with the club across all competitions.
